This research report, titled Review of Strategic Plans in the City of Johannesburg, was completed in March 2023 as part of the Executive Master of Science in Cities degree at the London School of Economics (LSE). Conducted with the approval of the City of Johannesburg, the report focuses on reviewing the city's urban strategic plans, particularly in relation to spatial transformation. The South African Cities Network (SACN) co-hosted the research, as the topic aligns with their key urban development programmes.

Part of the research was presented at the SACN’s November 2021 Urban Festival, contributing to a panel discussion on spatial transformation. This highlights the report's significance in addressing urban planning challenges and its role in shaping informed discussions around sustainable development and city governance in Johannesburg.
