Conference paper

The conference and summit highlighted the inequities in climate change and clean energy transitions, which disproportionately impact the Global South and marginalised communities in the Global North. These groups face significant burdens, lack protections, and struggle to defend their land and resources. Key questions included how to pursue social justice amidst widespread environmental destruction, address "extinguished" rights, and foster solidarity. Additionally, the event considered justice across generations and multispecies justice, advocating for ethical obligations to represent the interests of those unable to advocate for themselves.
