This paper, titled "Key Performance Indicators for Project Success on Innovative Building Technology Projects," explores the implementation of Innovative Building Technologies (IBTs) in South African social infrastructure projects. The South African government, through the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission, is adopting IBTs for constructing schools, clinics, and student accommodations. These unconventional building methods pose unique challenges, including procurement, supply chain management, and stakeholder relations. In this context, the paper aims to establish a framework of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of IBT projects. It draws upon the Project Excellence Model to define crucial project success factors and criteria, highlighting the significance of effective stakeholder management in construction projects.
