This paper develops and tests infrastructure policy statements for human settlements in South Africa to inform a new White Paper. An online survey of stakeholders revealed that addressing infrastructure is a high priority, with strong support for private sector and community involvement, innovative financing, and sustainable technologies.

 

The study offers new approaches to tackling the following:

  • Infrastructure backlogs
  • Alternative delivery models
  • Sustainable solutions
