This report analyses data from the Quality of Life Survey 7 (2023/24) in the City of Johannesburg (CoJ), highlighting key issues in demographics, service delivery, infrastructure, and governance. While the survey reflects a diverse population with balanced gender representation, poverty remains a challenge despite promising education levels. Growing dissatisfaction with housing, water quality, and electricity supply points to worsening infrastructure conditions. Public engagement in governance remains low, despite increased attendance at planning meetings, and dissatisfaction with local government is rising. Addressing these challenges is essential for improving quality of life in Johannesburg.
