Invitation to a joint conference in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, co-hosted by the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) and the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF), taking place from September 19th to 21st, 2024. Under the theme ‘Housing’s Economic Impact in Francophone Africa: Leveraging Affordable Housing to Promote Economic Growth and Development,’ this event builds upon the success of the recent Roundtable in Windhoek, Namibia. Together with Shelter Afrique and the Namibian Government, we explored the profound influence of the housing sector on African economies.
This marks a significant milestone coinciding with the 10th anniversary of CAHF and the 40th anniversary of AUHF. This gathering promises to be a momentous occasion, uniting governmental representatives from French-speaking nations with key stakeholders in the housing value chain. Together, we will delve into the critical issue of how the housing sector shapes the economic landscape of French-speaking African countries, fostering dialogue and collaboration towards sustainable development.
