ACSP traditionally welcomes more than 1000 attendees to the highly-anticipated annual conference including faculty, students, researchers, professional planners, and more. Representing more than 30 countries, attendees will experience 250+ research sessions, roundtable discussions, workshops, career information sessions, a Community Center to catch up with colleagues and friends, and plenty of networking opportunities to keep you engaged for the three-day span of this event.

The ACSP Annual Conference is an opportunity for academics and researchers to present their ideas to other experts in the academy, inviting discussion of their latest project to ultimately strengthen their work. Attendance promises you’ll discover new and interesting developments in the planning field. The return on your investment for attending this conference is an intellectually stimulating experience helping researchers forge new connections, build on their research, and enrich their careers.

The conference provides niche connections as well, specifically geared toward higher education administrators, underrepresented students and faculty of color, students on the job market, events for the ACSP interest groups of faculty women, planners of color, global planning educators, and our newest group, Inclusion – LGBTQIA + Allies and more. Distinguished faculty are honored, the host location is highlighted, and AICP CM credits can be earned. Prior to the conference, ACSP publishes a PDF volume called the “Book of Accepted Abstracts”. This Book contains an abstract for every anticipated presentation given at the conference and is a treasure trove of the latest research in the planning academy.
